Born in the city of Bodo, Norway, Schjelderup took his first steps in football at his hometown club, Bodo/Glimt. In the 2020/21 season, still a junior, he moved to Nordsjaelland in Denmark.
Schjelderup’s quality became evident as he made his Senior debut at 16 years old, starting in a match against Brondby. He finished the season with 16 games, three goals, and three assists.
In the 2021/22 season, he played in 23 matches, contributing four goals and one assist; in 2022/23, he scored 10 goals in 17 appearances.
On January 12, 2023, with the Benfica jersey on his chest, Schjelderup was presented as a player of the Glorious team.
At the beginning of the 2023/24 season, he participated in winning the Cândido de Oliveira Supercup, and shortly after, he returned to Nordsjaelland on loan, aiming to consolidate his competitive growth. This was reflected in 38 games played, 10 goals, and 11 assists.
Schjelderup became a full international for Norway on June 5, 2024, when he played the final minutes of the friendly match against Kosovo. The attacker has a long history in the youth teams of Norway, from the U-15 to U-21 level.
