Florentino is one of the pearls Made In Benfica Campus that have emerged from Benfica’s Youth Academy in recent years. After two and a half seasons with the B team (2016–January 2019), the young midfielder was promoted to the first team, becoming an option and actively contributing to the 2018/19 National Championship title.
Born on August 19, 1999, Florentino has always been a key player in the Club's youth teams, winning the National Championships at the U15 and U19 levels. A Portuguese youth international, Florentino won the European Championships at U17 and U19 levels.
Loaned by Benfica, Florentino played on loan at Monaco (2020/21) and Getafe (2021/22). He returned home to be part of Benfica's squad for the 2022/23 season.
