The Benfica and Valadares Gaia women's football teams decided their passage to the final of the Portuguese Cup on Sunday, April 27, in the second leg of the semi-finals, after a draw (2-2) at Benfica Campus. The match took place at the Estádio Dr. Jorge Sampaio. After a goalless draw at the end of regulation time and in extra time, the eagles sealed their qualification to the final on penalties (2-4)!!

After 2019 and 2024, the Inspiradoras are back at Jamor! Just like the men's team, Benfica's women's football team has also booked its place in the final of the Portuguese Cup!

In the final, the Reds will face Torreense, who beat SC Braga in the other semi-final (0-2 in the second leg; 0-5 on aggregate).

Compared to the first leg, Filipa Patão made just two changes: in came Marit Lund and Beatriz Cameirão, out went Laís Araújo and Andreia Faria, respectively.

Filipa Patão's starting XI was as follows: Lena Pauels, Christy Ucheibe, Carole Costa, Marit Lund, Catarina Amado, Beatriz Cameirão, Anna Gasper, Chandra Davidson, Andreia Norton, Nycole Raysla and Cristina Prieto.

The Inspiradoras' schedule now includes a match against Clube Albergaria in the matchday 21 of the Liga BPI, scheduled for Saturday, May 3, at 3 pm, at Benfica Campus.
