The draw held on Thursday, December 14, at Cidade do Futebol dictated the visit of Benfica's women's football team to Famalicão in the round of 16 of the Portuguese Cup. The matches for this round are scheduled for the weekend of January 20 and 21, 2024.

Following their 0-6 win at Freamunde in the 3rd round, the Inspiradoras will now face the current 9th-placed team in the Liga BPI, who reached the last 16 after eliminating Leixões (0-3) in the previous round.

The Eagles are looking for their second Portuguese Cup in their history, having won the trophy in the 2018/19 edition: a 4-0 victory over Valadares Gaia at the Estadio Nacional.

The newly crowned five-time national champions, Benfica's women's football team, were present at the Benfica Official Store at the Estádio da Luz on Tuesday afternoon, April 15. The Inspiradoras interacted with the many fans who lined up - some even waited more than two hours for the session to start - and who didn't waste the opportunity to talk to the protagonists of the historic feat and remember the moment with photographs. Benfica-Arouca: extended match highlights

Benfica drew (2-2) with Arouca on Sunday, April 13, in a match from matchday 29 of the Liga Betclic, played at the Estádio da Luz and marked by controversial refereeing that penalized the Eagles. At half-time there was time to pay tribute to two-time European champion José Augusto (who turned 88), Miccoli (the former player returned to the Cathedral) and the Inspiradoras, who became five-time national champions on Saturday.

Miccoli returned to the Estádio da Luz, where, on Sunday, April 13, during half-time of the Benfica-Arouca (2-2) match of round 29 of the Liga Betclic, he once again set foot on the pitch. Proud and grateful to the Benfica fans and the club, the former striker - who wore the Manto Sagrado in 2005/06 and 2006/07 - was greeted with applause from the fans, who watched images of some of his best moments with the eagle on his chest, in this beautiful tribute! “Go Benfica! Always,” shared the former player.

Two-time European champion, synonymous with the Sport Lisboa e Benfica mystique, José Augusto was honored on Sunday, April 13, the day of his 88th birthday. During half-time of the Benfica-Arouca match, on matchday 29 of the Liga Betclic, he was applauded by the Benfiquistas and thanked for the gesture from the Presidential Tribune. There, in the box, in the presence of President Rui Costa, among José Augusto's friends and family, Happy Birthday was sung to one of the undeniable names in the history of the Glorioso.
