Bah reaches 100 games with the Manto Sagrado

Representing Sport Lisboa e Benfica since June 2022, Alexander Bah reached 100 official games with the Manto Sagrado in the match against Barcelona on Tuesday, January 21, in Round 7 of the Champions League league phase.

In his first season with the eagle on his chest (2022/23), the Danish international made 42 appearances: 28 in the League, 8 in the Champions League, 2 in the Champions League qualifying round, 3 in the Portuguese Cup and 1 in the League Cup.

He played his first minutes for Benfica on August 5, 2022 - he came on during the 2nd half of the match against Arouca at the Estádio da Luz and made his first assist. Later that month, on the 30th, he made his debut as a starter and played his first full game - at the Catedral, against Paços de Ferreira, in the Championship.

At the end of his first season at Benfica, during which he was directly involved in seven goals, he celebrated winning the club's 38th National Football Championship.

In the 2023/24 season, which kicked off with Benfica's triumph in the Cândido de Oliveira Super Cup, Bah once again proved himself on the right flank. The eagles' No. 6 made 32 appearances on various competitive fronts: League (19), Champions League (3), Europa League (6), Portuguese Cup (3) and Cândido de Oliveira Super Cup (1). The right-back also scored two goals and made four assists.

In the current season (2024/25), Bah has played over 1900 minutes, spread over 26 matches: 16 in the League, 6 in the Champions League, 2 in the Portuguese Cup and 2 in the League Cup. He has added two goals and two assists to his Benfica tally to date.
