Di María analyzed Benfica's draw in Guimarães (2-2), against Vitória SC, "on a pitch that wasn't in good condition", where "it was difficult to control the ball".

The Argentinian international, who provided the assists for Benfica's two goals in Guimarães, considered that, given the difficulties of playing "on a pitch that wasn't in good condition", where "it was difficult to control the ball", the Eagles ended up playing "a good game": "We deserved more for what we played."
The forward recalled Benfica's good start in the second half, but in which they failed to score. "We came on strong [in the second half], trying to turn the result around. We had chances where we could have scored, but we didn't," he told Sport TV.
Di María also regretted the (short) stoppage time the referee gave. "We're up against everything and everyone... There have been substitutions, they've lost a lot of time, both the goalkeeper and the players, and [the referee] only gives six minutes... In FC Porto and Sporting games, there are 10/11 minutes... This year it's like that, and we have to keep working," he said.
Nonetheless, the No. 11 highlighted the point gained: "We got an important point against a great team, who played a great game."
On the subject of the standings, Di María pointed out that "there are still a lot of games to play", including against direct rivals. "We're still going to play Sporting, Sporting also have to play the others... We have to keep fighting, working, there's still a long way to go. We're still fighting, strong," he said.
