The Benfica Museum – Cosme Damião celebrated this week, on July 26, eight years of existence.

On Friday, July 30th, between 6 pm and 10 pm, a special "Summer Night" dedicated to the 8th anniversary Benfica Museum. The event will have free admission to the Museum and a 50% discount on the purchase of a ticket to visit the Sport Lisboa e Benfica Stadium.

The tickets will only be available for sale at the Benfica Official Store at the Stadium, between July 27 and 30, and can only be used on the night of July 30, from 6 pm until 10 pm.

On the same day, at 7 pm, the thematic visit "The Stories of History" will take place. To participate, visitors must book in advance through the Museum's usual contacts: museu@slbenfica.pt or 21 721 95 90.

Finally, on Saturday, July 31, at 3 pm the "Benfica in Family" debate-tour will take place. As with the thematic visit "The Stories of History", this tour requires prior booking through the Museum's usual contacts.

Glorious Saturdays: a visit for everyone!

The "Glorious Saturdays" are a programming activity of the Benfica Museum – Cosme Damião, which has been held every Saturday in February, as part of the celebrations of the 120th anniversary of Sport Lisboa e Benfica. On the 17th, another guided tour took place as part of this initiative, in which visitors are invited to learn about the great moments of glory and curiosities in the Club's history through the voice of a cultural mediator from the Museum. The Benfica Museum - Cosme Damião celebrates this Wednesday, July 26, its 10th anniversary, remaining faithful to the purpose of giving an account of the dreams realized, the achievements obtained and the role that a mythical club plays in Portuguese society, in the country and in the world. "The Museum has been building a path, based on what our visitors are, but we have a job always in mind which is the preservation of the history of the Club, linking it to the history of the country and the world, it is almost an exercise in comparative history. The Museum tries to encompass every bit of our history", stressed Fábio Leite, Coordinator of the Mediation and Education Service, speaking to BTV.
