Glorious Saturdays: a visit for everyone!

The "Glorious Saturdays" are a programming activity of the Benfica Museum – Cosme Damião, which has been held every Saturday in February, as part of the celebrations of the 120th anniversary of Sport Lisboa e Benfica. On the 17th, another guided tour took place as part of this initiative, in which visitors are invited to learn about the great moments of glory and curiosities in the Club's history through the voice of a cultural mediator from the Museum. "We try to encompass every bit of our history"

The Benfica Museum - Cosme Damião celebrates this Wednesday, July 26, its 10th anniversary, remaining faithful to the purpose of giving an account of the dreams realized, the achievements obtained and the role that a mythical club plays in Portuguese society, in the country and in the world. "The Museum has been building a path, based on what our visitors are, but we have a job always in mind which is the preservation of the history of the Club, linking it to the history of the country and the world, it is almost an exercise in comparative history. The Museum tries to encompass every bit of our history", stressed Fábio Leite, Coordinator of the Mediation and Education Service, speaking to BTV.

On the July 26, 2013, the Benfica Museum – Cosme Damião made itself known to Benfiquistas and the world! This Wednesday, the iconic space in the Benfica universe celebrates its tenth anniversary. A place of dreams, achievements, full of Mystique and passion, this has been a striking point in remembering the great moments of a unique club, always looking to the future and promoting constant dialogue between generations. There are several initiatives to mark and celebrate this special date, never forgetting who sustains the history of the Club: the Benfiquistas!
