With a contract until 2025, Pedrinho has a buyout clause of 120 million euros, as Benfica SAD reported this Wednesday (March 11) to the Securities Market Commission (CMVM).
After carrying out his medicals at Benfica, the midfielder penned a 5-year contract and will return São Paulo on Thursday (Mar 12), where he will play for Corinthians until the reopening of the transfer market in Portugal.
"It's a very important step. I feel very fulfilled to be in a big club. It's a huge opportunity for me, to show my football and I must thank the President for the opportunity. Showing my talent is what I want most", confessed the 21-year-old Brazilian player to BTV.
"I was welcomed by all. I'm very happy with the warm welcome, very happy for the way we are treated here… I see that, besides being a big club, it has great people working here. This will help me a lot", mentioned Pedrinho.
"It is a very qualified team, with two European Cups, the club with the most League Titles in Portugal, 37… I'm very happy and fulfilled to be part of a great club in Europe", he claimed.
At Benfica Campus, Pedrinho had the chance to talk with Bruno Lage, "a great professional", assured the Brazilian midfielder. "I'm sure he will help me a lot", he said.
Pedrinho arrived at Corinthians at the age of 14, he carried out all his formative years at the club and was promoted to the first team in 2017. As a professional athlete, he won one Brazilian Championship and three State Championships.
