Born in Canada, a country where women's football is important, she had a spell in the United States and then moved to Iceland. Cloe Lacasse, a 26-year-old versatile forward, penned a two-year contract with Sport Lisboa e Benfica.

"Everyone in the world knows about Benfica. It's a big deal", said the athlete that arrives from IBV, from Iceland, where she played in the last five seasons.

The ambition is part of Cloe Lacasse's DNA, who arrives in Portugal to win more trophies for Benfica's Women's Football.

"I feel very honored to be giving this experience and this moment. I want to win titles, to win matches. We must take it game by game, win by win, to win championships", she stressed.

The forward arrives in August, the team starts on July 22

The Canadian forward Cloe Lacasse joins Benfica's team in early August. Before that, on July 22 (Monday), the women's football first squad, coached by Luís Andrade, starts the pre-season work.
