Marta Pen breaks the national record in the one mile

Marta Pen, an athlete from Benfica, broke the national record in the one mile (1609 meters), this Sunday, and also won the event in the 2018 ISTAF Meeting, the annual athletics event that takes place at the Berlin Olympic Stadium.

The athlete ran the 1609 meters in 4.22.45 minutes, leaving behind the American Kate Grace (2nd place, with the time of 4.23.23) and the German Konstanze Klosterhalfen (3rd place, with 4.24.27).
