Benfica put on a show at the Circuito Liga Portugal Legends
Benfica was the runner-up of the inaugural edition of the Circuito Liga Portugal Legends, which took place this weekend, at Estádio do Viveiro "Jordan Santos", in Nazaré. Coached by Dimas, the eagles won Group B after drawing against Arouca (2-2) and thrashing Farense (2-14), on Saturday, July 22. On Sunday, July 23, the reds beat Sporting (5-1) in the semifinals and lost in the final against Vitória SC (1-3). Elected MVP of the competition, Sílvio spoke of a "worthy participation" by the Glorioso. "Everyone is to be congratulated. We had a great tournament, and we were very worthy, despite the fact that the final did not end in the best way", he said. Here are the best images of Benfica's former players in action...
