Cristina Prieto, forward of Benfica's women's football team, was elected Best Player of the Liga BPI, after receiving 28.11% of the votes, in the vote organized by the Players' Union.

Signed for the 2024/25 season, the Spanish international has made an immediate impact with an eagle on her chest and has contributed to winning the fifth championship in a row with 18 goals in the 20 matches already played in the competition, a record that allows her to top the list of goalscorers in the competition, with two rounds still to play.

It should be noted that Benfica midfielder Anna Gasper came 3rd (9.78%) in the race for an award given by the sum of the choices made by the coaches of the Liga BPI clubs (final weighting of 60%) and the online vote held on the official website of the Players' Union (40%).
