Following a meteoric rise through Shakhtar's youth ranks, Trubin made his first-team debut at just 17 years old, starting on May 26, 2019.
In the following seasons, the goalkeeper established himself among Shakhtar's elite, made his Champions League debut with a memorable performance in a 2-3 victory at Real Madrid's home, and won three Ukrainian league titles. In two of them (2020/21 and 2022/23), Trubin was named the Best Goalkeeper of the Championship.
In the summer of 2023, the goalkeeper represented Ukraine's U21 team at the European Championship, where he was one of the "reinforcements" from the senior national team, for which he earned his first cap on March 31, 2021, against Kazakhstan, in a World Cup 2022 qualifier. Before that, at 19 years old, Trubin had been called up for Euro 2020.
