He arrived at Benfica Campus, coming from CFT Braga – where he spent one season – to join the Infantis team in 2016/17. André Gomes also represented Benfica at the Iniciados, Juvenis, Juniores, Sub-23, and B Team levels, making his debut on January 22, 2023.
A Portugal youth international since the Under-15s, the goalkeeper from Ponte de Lima celebrated winning the UEFA Youth League with Benfica, standing out in the semi-finals against Juventus (saving two penalty kicks), and also enjoyed success in the Under-20 Intercontinental Cup.
