Benfica will find out on Friday morning, January 31, which opponent they will face in the Champions League play-off. The draw will take place from 11 am (mainland Portugal time) in Nyon, Switzerland.

With their 0-2 victory over Juventus on Wednesday (January 29) in the 8th and final round of the competition's league phase, the Eagles secured their passage to the play-offs for access to the last 16, finishing in 16th position (with 13 points from four wins and a draw), which provides them with the status of seeded team in the respective draw

In terms of possible opponents, given their position in the league table, the Reds already know that they will face a French team: Monaco (17th place) or Brest (18th place), the draw will decide.

The first leg of the play-off is scheduled for February 11 or 12 and the second leg for February 18 or 19.
