Diogo Prioste already has the award for Best Young Player of August/September in Liga 2

Diogo Prioste didn't forget his teammates when he received the award for Best Young Player of August/September in Liga 2. The prize awarded by the Players' Union was presented at Benfica Campus, and the Benfica B midfielder defines it as the result of "teamwork".

"I'm very happy. Above all, it's the result of our teamwork. When a team is doing well, the individuals stand out, and that's what happened. I'd like to thank all my colleagues. The podium was made by our team, we're all to be congratulated," said the midfielder, speaking to BTV.

Diogo Prioste received 12.29% of the votes, on a podium completely made up of Benfica academy players. João Rego (10.41%) and Hugo Félix (10.4%) came 2nd and 3rd respectively.

"A great job every day, a great union. I'm the one showing my face, in this case, I'm the one who got the award, but it's everyone's job, we're all together, and we'll continue from now on," said the young footballer, who guaranteed that he has "very clear objectives."

"I want to thank the Union, everyone who voted for me and all my teammates once again, because without them, I wouldn't have won this award", said Diogo Prioste.
