Schjelderup, a player in Benfica's professional football team, is among the 25 finalists for the Golden Boy 2024, an award given by the Italian newspaper Tuttosport to the best Under-21 player in the world, the publication announced on Thursday, October 17.

The Norwegian international winger was one of five wildcards chosen by Tuttosport journalists to join the top 20 - which included João Neves - previously announced: the others were Wilson Odobert (Tottenham), Endrick (Real Madrid), Eliesse Ben Seghir (Monaco) and Samuel Mbangula (Juventus).

The decision on the winner of Golden Boy 2024 will now be in the hands of an international jury made up of 50 journalists from all over Europe.
