Pedro Mil-Homens leaves Benfica Campus management

After seven years at the helm of Benfica Campus, Pedro Mil-Homens is stepping down to join the international FIFA Academy Systems project as technical leader.

Pedro Mil-Homens took office in 2017 and has overseen an important phase in the expansion of the Benfica Campus infrastructures, as well as a restructuring of the organizational model of our Club's Youth Football.

During this period, SL Benfica's Youth Football achieved all the objectives of promoting players to professional football, won more than 50% of the trophies in dispute at the various levels and won the UEFA Youth League for the first time, to which it added the first edition of the Intercontinental Cup.

Always seeking innovation and leadership in youth football in Portugal, Benfica Campus introduced and implemented a wide range of sports, personal and social training management processes during this period, which are now consolidated and form part of the DNA of Youth Football.

Recognizing the leadership role that the general director of Benfica Campus played in achieving these and other goals, Sport Lisboa e Benfica thanks Pedro Mil-Homens for his vision, commitment, dedication and professional loyalty.

The choice of Pedro Mil-Homens to play a leading role in the FIFA Academy Systems project is also a source of pride for Sport Lisboa e Benfica, as it is the choice of one of its own to take on this role.
