Six Soccer Camps Benfica USA were held

The first six Benfica Camps (training camps) in the United States, organized by Soccer Camps Pro, took place during the months of June and July on the East and West coasts, with the presence of Sport Lisboa e Benfica coaches.

Following the protocol signed with Soccer Camps Pro, were held in Washington DC, Boston and New Haven, on the East Coast, with the participation of coaches Gonçalo Valente and Duarte Camacho. Coaches João Rosmaninho and Gonçalo António were present at those held in Las Vegas, San Diego and San Francisco, on the West Coast.

With this initiative, Benfica sought to provide young Americans with an experience that was integrated into the Club's training methodology, inspired by what is done on a daily basis at Benfica Campus, and the training sessions were led by the Benfica coaches.

Each of the Soccer Camps Benfica USA took place over the course of a week, with twice-daily sessions that allowed the athletes to focus their attention on their technical and tactical development around the game.

"It was a first year of intense work between Benfica and Soccer Camps Pro to create one of the best training camps in the United States. The satisfaction of the young boys and girls who have experienced our methodology and the intensity of the Benfica Camps is our greatest motivation to continue bringing our best coaches, with vast experience in this type of program at an international level", said Leandro Scabin, Country Business Manager from Benfica.
