The new premises of the Club's embassies in Geneva and Romont will be officially opened on Saturday, July 20.
18 July 2024, 11h30
President Rui Costa with the Benfica Fans
The official Benfica delegation, led by Rui Costa, will include vice-president Domingos Almeida Lima and the director of Casas Benfica, Jorge Jacinto. The first moment of proximity with the fans will take place at Casa Benfica Genève, where, at 1 pm local time (12 pm in mainland Portugal), the red delegation will be welcomed for the inauguration of the new facilities. The celebratory lunch is scheduled for 2 pm local time (1 pm in mainland Portugal).
There are many places where Benfica is lived with intensity and devotion. This is the case of Romont, the city where the new face of Casa Benfica will be unveiled. Rui Costa will be present at the ceremony marking this important moment for the club and its diaspora, and will be welcomed at 6.30 pm local time (5.30 pm in mainland Portugal). Afterward, there will be a dinner at 7 pm local time (6 pm in mainland Portugal) at the Glorioso's embassy No. 252.
Another act of communion will take place on Sunday, July 21, when Benfica's professional football team takes on Almería at the Stade Joseph-Moynat in Thonon-les-Bains, a French town very close to the Swiss border, in what will be the third preparation match of the 2024/25 pre-season, scheduled for 3:30 local time (2:30 pm in mainland Portugal).
