Dia 4 de julho – Pré-época

On the second day of the 2024/25 pre-season, SL Benfica's professional football squad trained at Benfica Campus, already with ball drills.

Under the guidance of coach Roger Schmidt and his coaching staff, the players worked out in the gym and on the pitch.

With the inclusion of Gustavo Marques, there were 30 footballers present on day 2 of pre-season:

  • Goalkeepers: André Gomes, Arnas Voitinovicius, Diogo Ferreira and Samuel Soares;

  • Defenders: Álvaro Carreras, Bajrami, Diogo Spencer, Gustavo Marques, Leandro Santos, Morato, Tiago Parente and Tomás Araújo;

  • Midfielders: Aursnes, Florentino, João Mário, João Rego, Leandro Barreiro, Martim Neto and Paulo Bernardo;

  • Forwards: Arthur Cabral, David Neres, Henrique Araújo, Marcos Leonardo, Pavlidis, Pedro Santos, Prestianni, Rollheiser, Schjelderup, Tengstedt and Tiago Gouveia.

The preparation of Benfica's professional football squad for the new season continues at a high pace and, in particular, for the 12th edition of the Eusébio Cup, in which the eagles are scheduled to play Feyenoord.
