Jody Brown has joined the Inspiradoras. A versatile forward, the 22-year-old Jamaican international has signed a contract until 2027 and arrives at Sport Lisboa e Benfica from US College Football.

A new addition to the squad coached by Filipa Patão, Jody Brown is the first Jamaican-born player to wear the Sacred Mantle, and she can't hide her joy at fulfilling a long-held desire.

"I'm very happy to be a Benfica player. I've always dreamed of this moment. My time has finally come, and I'm ready to play with my teammates. I'm going to take it day by day to adapt, to understand how my teammates play, so that everything goes well, and we can win more titles," analyzed the forward, whose versatility allows her to occupy different positions in the attacking line.

"I know Benfica is a big club with a lot of history. I'm ready to start and continue the story," said Jody Brown, full of ambition, in a statement to BTV.

At the age of 22, he has already made 30 international appearances for Jamaica's senior national team. At Benfica, he wants more: "Presenting myself as a player means continuing to be myself and using my skills to the full, together with my teammates, to achieve everything."

"I'm very excited, I can't wait to meet my teammates, the coaching staff and the fans. They're important people in this family and I can't wait to get started," concluded the athlete, who signed a contract with Benfica until 2027.
