António Silva and João Neves in Portugal's triumph

Benfica players António Silva and João Neves started for the Portuguese national team in their 4-2 win over Finland in a preparation match played on Tuesday, June 4, at the Estádio José Alvalade.

The Reds' defender played 73 minutes of the game, during which time he made one clearance, one tackle, had a 99 percent pass efficiency rate (70 out of 71 passes attempted) and was successful with two of the three long balls he launched, according to data from the Sofascore platform.

João Neves was on the pitch for the entire match. Defensively, the Eagles midfielder made two interceptions, three tackles and won all seven of his duels. Offensively, he succeeded in 96 percent of his passes (97 out of 101 attempted), hitting five of the seven long passes he made.

Portugal beat Finland with a brace from Bruno Fernandes and goals from Rúben Dias and Diogo Jota. On the visitors' side, Pukki scored both goals. The National Team will lock horns with Croatia (on Saturday, June 8, at 5:45pm, at the Estádio Nacional) and Ireland (on Tuesday, June 11, at 7:45pm, at the Estádio Municipal de Aveiro) before starting their participation in Euro 2024.

Kökcü was also in action, coming on for the Turkish national team in the 55th minute of their 0-0 draw with Italy in a friendly at the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara in Bologna. The Benfica midfielder blocked a shot and was 85 percent accurate with his passing (11 successful passes out of 13 attempted).

Before the European Championship, Turkey will face Poland at the PGE Narodowy in Warsaw in a match scheduled for 7:45pm on Monday, June 10.
