Sport Lisboa e Benfica and Olympique de Marseille are calling on the authorities from both countries to ensure that the UEFA Europa League quarter-final matches are played in the presence of both clubs' fans, both in the first leg on Thursday, April 11, at the Sport Lisboa e Benfica Stadium and in the second leg, April 18, at the Orange Vélodrome.

Together with UEFA and the authorities, the two clubs are working closely to meet all the criteria and guarantee the highest organizational safety standards.

Football is an outstanding vehicle for emotion and integration, which loses its meaning without the presence of the fans, who are the sport's raison d'être.

SL Benfica and Olympique de Marseille are two clubs with a long history in European Football that share a tremendous mutual respect. They are therefore launching this joint appeal so that everyone involved can rise to the challenge.
