João Neves, Benfica's midfielder, was voted the Liga Betclic's Best Young Player of February, in a vote promoted by the Players' Union. The No. 87 made four appearances in the period.

In the first match of the month, João Neves scored one of the three goals in Benfica's 3-0 win over Gil Vicente. A starter in that match, the young Portuguese international repeated his appearance in the eleven coached by Roger Schmidt in the other three matches in February: Vitória SC (2-2), Vizela (6-1) and Portimonense (4-0).

In first place in this election, with 15.47% of the vote, João Neves had already received the same distinction in October/November.
