Gabriel
Sport Lisboa e Benfica and the player Gabriel have agreed, by mutual agreement, to release each other from their contracts, ending a relationship that began in the 2018/19 season.
The midfielder joined Benfica from Spanish side Leganés and has made 100 official appearances with the eagle on his chest, scoring five goals in over 6,500 minutes played. Gabriel contributed to winning the 2018/19 National Championship and the 2019 Super Cup.
In September 2021, the Brazilian player was loaned to Qatari club Al-Gharafa and, a year later, he was loaned again, this time to Brazilian club Botafogo.
SL Benfica wishes Gabriel all the best in this new phase of his career.
