João Neves: "We went in with attitude and commitment"

"The weather didn't help, but we tried to impose our game. We went in with attitude, commitment and the will to get a good result. We scored the first goal, it doesn't matter if it was me or another teammate who scored. It doesn't matter who scored, what matters is that Benfica scored, and we went looking for more to seal the game as soon as possible", explained João Neves.

With the team arranged tactically in a 3x4x3 formation, the midfielder appeared on Saturday afternoon, November 4, on the right wing.

"I always try to do my best, regardless of the position I play in. It's not my original position, but if the coach has put me there, it's because he sees that I have the characteristics to play that role.My concentration? I try to keep it at maximum. It doesn't change whether I play on the right, left, in the middle, at the back or up front. Concentration is always maximum", said the 19-year-old player.

In the Liga Betclic, the next match is the derby, but first, there's the Champions League in San Sebastián, Spain, against Real Sociedad.

"The Sporting match is important, but in the middle of the week, we have a Champions League match, which is more important because it's the next one.
