António Silva was the 8th most-voted player in the race for the Kopa 2023 Award, the trophy that recognizes the best Under-21 player in the world.

Benfica central defender was recognized for a 2022/23 season of full affirmation, marked by his debut in the first team of the eagles, the conquest of the 38th league title  and the presence in the 2022 World Cup with the National Team.

The winner of the Kopa Award was England international Jude Bellingham (Real Madrid), who received the award on Monday, October 30, during the Ballon d'Or ceremony in Paris.
