Benfica beat Apollon 0-7 on Wednesday, October 11, at the Tsirion Stadium in the first leg of the second qualifying round of the Women's Champions League. On an afternoon bordering on perfection, the Inspiradoras took an important step towards a third straight presence in the group stage and also celebrated their 1000th goal, scored by Marie Alidou, in 184th match in all competitions.

Marie Alidou's goal in the 1-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt on Matchday 3 of Group A in the Champions League, in the first women's Champions League match played at Estádio da Luz, was voted the Goal of the Group Stage of the Women's Champions League. "Proud" on arrival in Lisbon

There were requests for autographs, photographs and congratulations on the players of Benfica's women's football team, who, from Sweden, arrived in Lisbon on Friday, January 26, following their historic qualification for the quarterfinals of the Champions League. Having been with the eagles since the beginning of the section, captain Sílvia Rebelo emphasized the work of everyone at Benfica to BTV. "We are very proud, and we want to continue making history," she said at Humberto Delgado airport. With their next opponents, Barcelona, in mind, Sílvia Rebelo called for Benfica fans to be present at the Benfica Campus on Wednesday, January 31, at 8:00 pm.
