Gonçalo Guedes
Player Made in Benfica, Gonçalo Guedes returned home in January 2023, loaned out by Wolves. In that period, he played 15 games with the reds - scored a goal in the match in which he returned to wear the sacred mantle! - and totaled about 500 minutes of competition, contributing to 38th National Football Championship. Now, in the 2023/24 season, he will continue to line up with the eagle on his chest.
Guedes played for all red youth training teams, and it was in 2014/15 that he had the opportunity to debut for the first team, in the Portuguese Cup, on October 18, 2014. That year, Gonçalo Guedes would be used in eight more games to win the first national title of the 4-time champions.
The affirmation of Guedes in the first team of Sport Lisboa e Benfica strengthened on the following season, 2015/16, participating in 31 games and scoring four goals. With undeniable talent, he played 28 matches and scored seven goals in the first half of 2016/17. In January 2017, he became the most valuable U-21 player in Europe, with the transfer to PSG.
The experience in France came before five intense seasons in Spain, with Valencia (2017/18 to 2021/22). The arrival at the English Premier League, to Wolverhampton, was formalized in 2022/23.
