Benfica Foundation distinguished by the Football Foundation - Liga Portugal

For the promotion of the Adapted Football League, which helps about a hundred students from special schools, the Benfica Foundation received from the Football Foundation - Liga Portugal the Social Responsibility Award for the month of June.

Carlos Moia, executive president of the Benfica Foundation, was happy for the 4th Social Responsibility Award won by the Club's social solidarity institution.

"It's a happy day, and we thank the League for another award. Benfica is part of the Special Olympics group, and they asked us to take care of the movement in Portugal. We have six annual matchdays with 100 students from special schools, and Benfica has an adapted football team that plays national and international matches. It is a way of showing that it is important to help young people who need this support to integrate into society", said Carlos Moia to BTV at Estádio da Luz.

"It is an award for the Benfica Foundation, but, above all, it is for the people who work there and who are deserving of this distinction. We are talking about a fantastic team that the Foundation has put together and that does its work with commitment and joy", he stressed.
