Letícia Almeida, an 18-year-old Portuguese midfielder, is a new addition to the Sport Lisboa e Benfica's women's football team.

A U-19 international (she has 18 matches and, 1315 minutes at this level), the center midfielder is "making a dream come true". "I feel a very big responsibility. I have a long road ahead of me, but I am fully aware that I am in the best project to be able to grow", mentioned Letícia to BTV.

"I am very excited to be part of this great Club, with a lot of history", she said, in a message addressed to Benfiquistas.

Letícia arrives at Benfica after having represented Famalicão, in 2022/23, for which she played 29 times, divided between the first team (26) and the second team (3). In the team from Minho, she scored two goals, both in the Portuguese Cup.

The young player's career also includes spells with Lank Vilaverdense and Vilaverdense FC, AMCH Ringe and Aves, the latter two in the youth ranks.
