Double podium for Benfica athletes participating in the European Games, taking place in Kraków, Poland. This Saturday, June 24, Teresa Portela won the gold medal, in K2 200 meters mixed. Fernando Pimenta clinched the silver medal in K1 500 meters.

Teresa Portela, alongside Kevin Santos, beat the competition. With a time of 34.260 seconds, the Benfica canoeist and her competition partner were faster than the Danish duo (34.572 seconds), second ranked.

Before, at the end of the morning, Fernando Pimenta celebrated another podium finish. The red canoeist finished the competition with 1.37.58 minutes, only behind the Hungarian Adam Varga. 

It should be noted that already on Friday, June 23, Messias Baptista had won a gold in K1 200 meters.
