It is with tremendous pride that I address congratulations to our men’s roller hockey team for winning the National Championship. What a fair victory!

They were the team that won the regular phase unequivocally, completing that journey brilliantly in the play-offs and in this final, in particular.

Congratulations to all athletes, coaches and staff for this achievement. The champion is back and, with the support of our fans, everything becomes much easier. You are fantastic! Congratulations!

Benfica-Tirsense: extended match highlights (4-0)

In front of almost 50,000 spectators at the Estádio da Luz, Benfica confirmed their qualification for the 2024/2025 Portuguese Cup final on Wednesday night, April 23, by beating Tirsense 4-0 in the second leg of the semi-final (goals from António Silva, Bajrami, Belotti and Barreiro). In the first game, the Eagles had won 0-5. Thus, with a 9-0 aggregate in the semi-final, the Glorioso reached the decisive match of the Portuguese Cup for the 39th time. On their way to Jamor, the Reds overcame Pevidém (0-2), Estrela da Amadora (7-0), Farense (1-3), SC Braga (1-0) and, finally, Tirsense in a two-legged tie.

António Silva was the spokesman for the Benfica team that booked their ticket to the Portuguese Cup final after beating Tirsense 4-0 in the second leg of the semi-final. The central defender scored the first goal of the game.
