Nine Benfica footballers are part of national coach Francisco Neto's squad list to represent Portugal (group E) in the final stage of the 2023 World Cup, that will take place in Australia and New Zealand, between July 20 and August 20.

Rute Costa, Ana Seiça, Carole Costa, Catarina Amado, Lúcia Alves, Sílvia Rebelo, Andreia Norton, Francisca Nazareth and Jéssica Silvaare the players chosen by Francisco Neto, who announced the 23 players this Tuesday, May 30, in a ceremony that took place at the BPI All in One Lisboa.

In group E, Portugal will make their debut in the final stage of a World Cup against The Netherlands, in Dunedin, on July 23 (Sunday), facing Vietnam on July 27 (Thursday), in Hamilton. The Portuguese national team finishes the group stage against the United States of America, on August 1 (Tuesday), in Auckland.

The gathering of the National Team in the Cidade do Futebol is scheduled for June 19, and the departure to New Zealand will take place on July 10.

The Inspiradoras interacted with the many fans who lined up - some even waited more than two hours for the session to start - and who didn't waste the opportunity to talk to the protagonists of the historic feat and remember the moment with photographs.
