BENFICA FOOTBALL CAMP

Sport Lisboa e Benfica held Football Camps for the second time in Vilnius, capital of Lithuania, between February 13 and 17. The action was organized in partnership with FA Ateitis Academy.

Benfica thus provided more than 65 youngsters with ages between 6 and 14 years old, the experience of living the Club's training methodology, which was transmitted by the coaches Davide Gomes, Ricardo Mota, Tiago Marques and Mário Patrício, always with the principles and values of Youth Football as guiding premises.

Unforgettable day for the young stars at Estádio da Luz

This weekend, June 3rd and 4th, the Cathedral hosts the 16th National Meeting of Benfica's Football Schools. About 6000 thousand children will have the opportunity to play in these two days between the pitch of Estádio da Luz and the Synthetic Pitch, as well as to see, up close, the trophy allusive to the 38th national titlewon by the first football team. At the start of the event, President Rui Costa praised the work done by the entire structure of the "best academy in the world" and left a message for the young stars. "How wonderful to see so much youth running after a ball. What I ask of you is to make the most of the day and enjoy this experience in our stadium, our main home and where we have just become national champions", he said to BTV.
