BENFICA IN BRAZIL: TECHNICAL PARTNERSHIP ENDS SUCCESSFUL SEASON
The international project signed a year ago between Sport Lisboa e Benfica and Coimbra SC is a success story. At the end of the first season, the Under-15 and Under-17 teams finished the Campeonato Mineiro with promotion to the 1st Division.
In the 1st phase, the U-15 and U-17 teams both reached the 1st place in the standings, and were also the best attack, the best defense, and recorded the highest number of wins.
In the Hexagonal tournament, the U-15s were champions, totaling five wins, 17 goals scored, and only six conceded; the U-17s finished 3rd, but had the most prolific attack (nine goals).
FOOTBALL CAMPS IN SWEDEN
Between November 3rd and 5th, Benfica coaches Luís Moutinho, Duarte Alão, Cláudio Alexandre, André Ferreira and João Azevedo coached, in Stockholm, more than 105 players, boys and girls, with the help of 15 local coaches.
Here, more than a hundred youngsters experienced the Benfica methodology, as well as the principles and values that guide the youth football.
FOOTBALL CAMPS IN SCOTLAND, IRELAND AND NORTHERN IRELAND
Between October 18 and 22 and from October 30 to November 5, Benfica held Football Camps for over 440 players in Scotland, Ireland, and Northern Ireland.
Under the technical guidance of Benfica coaches João Rosmaninho and André Filipe, the hundreds of youngsters had the opportunity to experience Benfica's training methodology.
