Benfica achieved, this Saturday, the 4th consecutive win after beating Casa Pia by 3-0 at Estádio da Luz in the game from matchday 19 of the Liga Bwin. João Mário (2) and Bah were the goalscorers. The next match is Thursday, February 9, against SC Braga, for the quarter-finals of the Portuguese Cup.

Before the start of the match, an emotional moment at Estádio da Luz. Tribute from Sport Lisboa e Benfica to André Almeida, a footballer who was linked to the Club since 2011 and who, recently, terminated his contract. In total, he played 308 matches with an eagle on his chest, scored 11 goals and won 15 titles - 5 National Championships, 2 Portuguese Cups, 4 Super Cups and 4 League Cups.

Just before the break, the 2-0. Benfica's good attacking play, the ball, passed by Chiquinho, reached Grimaldo, who crossed to the left and João Mário, at the far post, put the ball in the back of the net. A second consecutive brace from the Portuguese international, the third match scoring, he is in the best season of his career, with 12 goals in the Liga Bwin and 16 in all competitions. The eagles closed the first 45 minutes of the game with 77% possession, seven shots, 406 passes (89% effectiveness) and 94 attacks.

With Casa Pia in Benfica's box, the eagles took the opportunity to go on a counterattack. João Mário to Bah and the full-back, from area to area, ran about 50 meters and sent a left-footed rocket that only stopped in the back of the net. It was 3-0 in the match, at 71'.
