An international with Germany's youth national teams, Anna Gasper is a new addition to the women's football team of Sport Lisboa e Benfica. The 26-year-old midfielder has signed a contract valid until 2025 and is "happy and comfortable" with the step taken in his career.

The versatile player, who represented Austria Vienna before joining the two-time national champions, has the ability to play in both flanks and has made herself known.

"I can play on the wings, both in defense and in attack. I am fast, I make good passes and I think I can help Benfica", said Anna Gasper to BTV.

Already called up to the work of the senior German national team, Anna Gasper played at Bayer Leverkusen before a four-year spell at Turbine Potsdam, a German club with a tradition in women's football has won Europe's premier club competition twice, in 2005 and 2010.

"I feel comfortable. I think I can learn a lot, and I am privileged to take this new step in my career", claimed the most recent player of the squad coached by Filipa Patão.
