With the status of seeded team after winning group H, Benfica knew they would face one of the runners-up in the previous stage, and in this case it was the Belgians from Club Brugge, FC Porto's opponents in group B. Due to this status, the eagles will play at Estádio da Luz in the 2nd leg of the last 16.
