Champions League: Club Brugge-Benfica in the Round of 16

Benfica will face Club Brugge in the round of 16 of the Champions League. The 1st leg, in Belgium, will be played on February 15, and the 2nd leg, at Estádio da Luz, will be played on March 7.

With the status of seeded team after winning group H, Benfica knew they would face one of the runners-up in the previous stage, and in this case it was the Belgians from Club Brugge, FC Porto's opponents in group B. Due to this status, the eagles will play at Estádio da Luz in the 2nd leg of the last 16.

THE OPPONENT

The club where the former Benfica player Roman Yaremchuk plays had 11 points in the group stage, the result of three wins, two draws, and one defeat, finishing with a balance of seven goals scored and four conceded, all in a single match at the Jan Breydel Stadium, against FC Porto.

Club Brugge, who have never faced Benfica in official matches, three-time Belgium champions, although this season they sit 4th in the Championship 11 points behind the leader Genk, having 17 Championships, 11 Cups, and 14 Super Cups in their list of honors.
