António Silva and Henrique Araújo until 2027

Sport Lisboa e Benfica has renewed the contracts of António Silva and Henrique Araújo, players from the professional football squad. The contracts of the center-back and the forward, both nurtured at Benfica Campus, have been extended for five years (until 2027).

"I am very pleased for this demonstration that the Club makes of my value. Of course there is always responsibility, but there was before and there will continue to be. I have to continue to do my job as I have done until now. Always work hard to make opportunities arise and help Benfica win titles", revealed Henrique Araújo.

"I want to play as much as possible, as all players want to do. Collectively, I want to win titles, win the national title, which is our main goal. So far, things have been going very well, and we are all really happy because we have always won the matches, but we are at the beginning, and we have to stay focused", commented the 20-year-old forward.

"I am going through a good moment. I didn't expect to have two matches for the first team so soon, and the renewal was something I was really looking forward to and that the Club gave me. I hope to live up to the trust that Benfica has placed in me", confessed António Silva.
