Sport Lisboa e Benfica informs that it has reached an agreement with Vitesse, from the Netherlands, for the loan of football player Ferro.

At the Benfica Campus since 2011, he carried out his formative year with an eagle on his chest and became U-15 national champion. He started playing for the B team in 2015/16 and  on February 1, 2019, he was promoted to the first team, where he won the national title. 

In the 2021/22 season, he played two more matches for Benfica, before being loaned out to Hajduk Split, where he scored two goals in the 14 matches.

Benfica-Arouca: extended match highlights

Benfica drew (2-2) with Arouca on Sunday, April 13, in a match from matchday 29 of the Liga Betclic, played at the Estádio da Luz and marked by controversial refereeing that penalized the Eagles. At half-time there was time to pay tribute to two-time European champion José Augusto (who turned 88), Miccoli (the former player returned to the Cathedral) and the Inspiradoras, who became five-time national champions on Saturday.

Miccoli honored at Estádio da Luz

Miccoli returned to the Estádio da Luz, where, on Sunday, April 13, during half-time of the Benfica-Arouca (2-2) match of round 29 of the Liga Betclic, he once again set foot on the pitch. Proud and grateful to the Benfica fans and the club, the former striker - who wore the Manto Sagrado in 2005/06 and 2006/07 - was greeted with applause from the fans, who watched images of some of his best moments with the eagle on his chest, in this beautiful tribute! “Go Benfica! Always,” shared the former player.

A heartfelt tribute to José Augusto!

Two-time European champion, synonymous with the Sport Lisboa e Benfica mystique, José Augusto was honored on Sunday, April 13, the day of his 88th birthday. During half-time of the Benfica-Arouca match, on matchday 29 of the Liga Betclic, he was applauded by the Benfiquistas and thanked for the gesture from the Presidential Tribune. There, in the box, in the presence of President Rui Costa, among José Augusto's friends and family, Happy Birthday was sung to one of the undeniable names in the history of the Glorioso.

The party for the historic fifth title in a row!

Historic day for Benfica and Portuguese football! On Saturday, April 12, the Inspiradoras celebrated winning the fifth national championship in a row after beating Valadares Gaia 0-3, on matchday 20 of the Liga BPI, with goals from Christy Ucheibe (29'), Cristina Prieto (42') and Beatriz Cameirão (75'). A trophy that they have added to the League Cup. Fervent in their support for the team, the Benfiquistas gave color to the celebration at the Estádio Dr. Jorge Sampaio, painted red and white.
