Andreia Norton: Portuguese international is a new signing!

Portuguese international and one of the major players Liga BPI, Andreia Norton is a new addition to the women's football team of Sport Lisboa e Benfica. The 25-year-old midfielder represented SC Braga for the last two and a half seasons, and has now signed a contract, valid until 2025, with the Glorioso. 

"The fans can expect from me a hardworking, dedicated player who likes to take over the game and have the ball. A player who wants to arrive at the Club and add value to the team, helping it to achieve as many goals as possible. It is with great pride that I wear the Benfica jersey, because it is the club of my heart. I am very happy to be part of this team", she said.

With an eagle on her chest, Andreia Norton will find old teammates,cases of Silvia Rebelo, Pauleta or Jéssica Silva, but also teammates of the National Team, such as Carole Costa, Catarina Amado, Lúcia Alves, Andreia Faria or Francisca Nazareth.

"They are players [Silvia Rebelo, Pauleta, and Jéssica Silva] who have already played with me at SC Braga and continue to share a space with me in the National Team. They are going to be super-important. They will help me a lot, as well as the other colleagues", she claimed.

"In every club we go to, especially abroad, we acquire other things that we don't have in Portugal. The German and Spanish championships are very strong, they made me a more mature and experienced player, I think it can help me at Benfica and in the Portuguese League", she praised.
