Benfica's athlete won the gold medals in K1 1000, K1 500, K2 500 and K1 5000 in the canoeing Sprint World Cup, held in Poznan (Poland).

Fernando Pimenta won four gold medals at the Sprint World Cup in Poznan, Poland
Fernando Pimenta started the day winning in K1 1000 meters, with a time of 3:27.91 minutes, with Australian Thomas Green in second place. With his first gold medal under his belt, the Benfica athlete advanced to the K1 500-meter final, where, with 1:39.18 minutes, he beat Jackson Collins, also an Australian, to win the second gold medal of the day.
The third gold medal was won by another "benfiquista" in the boat, namely Teresa Portela. The two Glorioso athletes, in K2 500 meters, beat the Swedish duo formed by Martin Nathell and Melina Andersson, in 1:35.03 minutes.
The day in Poznan, in the water, ended with Fernando Pimenta celebrating his fourth gold medal, this time in K1 5000 meters. In the race where João Ribeiro also participated, who withdrew, the canoeist from Ponte de Lima was stronger than the Slovenian Jost Zakrajsek, who was 7.21 seconds away from Fernando Pimenta's 21:29.54 minutes.
