Continued commitment, renewed confidence. One of the faces of the Benfica Olympic project, canoeist  Teresa Portela renewed her contract with Sport Lisboa e Benfica.

"It has been ten years, it is special to renew with Benfica. At least until Paris 2024, I expect to represent the Club very well. I thank this vote of confidence", commented Teresa Portela to BTV.

The importance of the Benfica Olympic, a Club project that aims to develop, enhance and promote its athletes with very high level results in view of participating in the Olympic Games, was valued by the canoeist.

"If it wasn't for Benfica, we probably wouldn't have many opportunities to improve and risk a little more. The Club gave us that security, being by the side of canoeing and by my side throughout these years. É uma mais-valia o Benfica poder estar presente na nossa modalidade", she claimed.
