STATEMENTS

Benfica's goal scorer (the first representing the first team!) in the match against Vizela on matchday 26 of the Liga Bwin (1-1), Henrique Araújo regretted that the night in the Cathedral didn't end with the victory of the reds, which, outnumbered from very early on and despite being hindered by the referees, fought for a different result.

"Scoring for Benfica was the moment I have been looking for all my life. At Estádio da Luz, with incredible fans, it was a very special moment, but I really wanted to win this game, it was important for the team to get these three points. It was not possible. We will continue to work, the players have been very committed and we have goals to accomplish this season", reacted Henrique Araújo.

"The fans felt that the team gave everything all the time, playing down to ten men and facing other things that didn't make our game easier. The team tried, the second goal didn't arrive, but the team's effort is meritorious", said the young striker.

The newly crowned five-time national champions, Benfica's women's football team, were present at the Benfica Official Store at the Estádio da Luz on Tuesday afternoon, April 15. The Inspiradoras interacted with the many fans who lined up - some even waited more than two hours for the session to start - and who didn't waste the opportunity to talk to the protagonists of the historic feat and remember the moment with photographs. From the youngest to the oldest, everyone left satisfied. “Filipa, you're the best coach in the world,” said one Benfica fan.
