Darwin: "Thank you to the fans for the support they give us"

Three shots on target, two goals! Darwin completed a brace in Benfica's 7-1 victory over Marítimo at Estádio da Luz, on matchday 15 of the Liga Bwin, and was named the "Man of The Match".

The eagles' top scorer in this edition of the National Championship (13 goals),  the Uruguayan international share the award received for his individual performance in the match with his teammates and dedicated the victory to the Benfiquistas.

"It is an award that, as I always say, is also from my teammates, because we are eleven players on the pitch, plus those who are off the pitch and give us support. I am happy that everything is going well for me individually and I must continue on this path", stressed the forward.

"It is my best individual moment, but it would not be possible without my teammates, the coach and everyone involved. I will continue to work with my feet on the ground and with humility", added Darwin.

"Thank you to the fans for the support they give us at home, or wherever. I speak on behalf of my teammates when I say that we are all grateful for the support they give us. They also deserve this victory", finished the number 9.
