After winning by 0-2 in Germany, Benfica increased their point tally to nine in group E, where they sit in second place, one point behind the leader, Dynamo Kiyv, who beat Barcelona by 4-1.

In the next round, the eagles travel to the capital of Catalonia to face Barcelona.
