Benfica hosts, this October 21 at 8 pm, at Pavilion n.º 2 of Luz, VaLePa Sastamala, from Finland, in the 1st leg of round 2 of the Volleyball Champions League and coach Marcel Matz assures that the team is "prepared" for the difficulties that will be posed by a stronger team than the Estonians from Bigbank Tartu.

The coach of the Reds explained this in statements to BTV. "It is a more difficult team than Bigbank Tartu, it is more experienced, as the competition advances things get more complicated, it is normal. I expect more difficulties, they have a very experienced setter, big middle-blocker... we have to be at our best to win the game at home and then, away, get a positive result that allows us to go through".

André Lopes: "We grew in terms of displays"

André Lopes, zone 4 volleyball player, assures that Benfica "has been growing from game to game" and is confident of a good result. "The coaching staff has already studied the opponent, we have already seen two games. They have a good balance between young and more experienced players. It's a stronger team than our previous opponent from Estonia [Bigbank Tartu]. It will be more complicated, but we will be prepared. We have been growing game by game in terms of performance. The confidence levels are higher than at the time of the Super Cup, we are confident that we will play a good game and go through to the next round", he stressed.
